Curriculum Connections

“Learning and Teaching” in our school – some reminders and updates. Continued from our last edition.

As educators, parents, and guardians, it is our collective responsibility to create an environment that sparks curiosity and ignites passion for lifelong learning in our young people.

Incorporating Technology in Education:

In the digital age, technology plays a crucial role in education. Integrating educational apps, interactive online platforms, and multimedia resources into lessons enhances engagement and facilitates personalized learning. Our Teaching staff ensure that technology is used responsibly to complement a variety of best practice teaching methods.

Creating a Safe and Inclusive Learning Environment:

We believe that a safe and inclusive environment is vital for effective learning. Our school strives to celebrate diversity, where each student feels valued and respected. By fostering a sense of belonging, students are more open to sharing their ideas and opinions, contributing to a rich and dynamic learning experience.

Cultivating a Love for Reading:

Cultivating a love of reading in children is a journey that involves creativity, enthusiasm, and a deep appreciation for the magic of books. By fostering a positive reading environment and showing students the joys of exploring new worlds through literature, we are nurturing a lifelong passion for learning and imagination.

As we embrace the ever-evolving landscape of education, our commitment to providing a nurturing, interactive, and innovative learning environment remains steadfast. Together, let us nurture the spark of curiosity in our children, encouraging them to explore, discover, and become lifelong learners.

Thank you for your continued support in shaping the future of our young minds.

World of Maths

Last week we had World of Maths visit all students from Prep – Year 6. This was an engaging and hands-on experience for students to solve mathematical problems. The feedback from students and staff was all positive!

Science Week

Science surrounds us in our daily lives. It fuels our understanding of the natural world, inspires technological advancements, and challenges us to question and explore. Science Week serves as a reminder for us embrace the spirit of curiosity and wonder that lies at the heart of scientific exploration. Thank you to our Year 5 and Year 6 students and teachers for organising our Science Extravaganza this week – please check out the photos from the day!

Thank you also to Ms A for organising those students who attended the Reef Guardian Science Together event this week. This was a wonderful opportunity for those students learn about conservation and the protection of the Great Barrier Reef through special guest speakers and engaging in hands-on activities.
